A Reproducible WRF/WPS Template for Local Area NWP on the European Weather Cloud

This project will develop and evaluate a reproducible WRF/WPS template for running local-area numerical weather prediction experiments on the European Weather Cloud. The work will focus on deploying WRF/WPS on EWC virtual machines, automating the installation and configuration steps where possible, and testing model runs with different domains, resolutions and VM resource configurations. The project will also assess practical limits in terms of performance, scalability and usability on available cloud resources. The final outcome will be a reusable and well-documented template, including scripts, configuration examples and benchmarking results, to help EWC users deploy, customise and run WRF-based local-area NWP workflows with minimum effort.
